This blog will be updated regularly with information that will help to contextualize why the United States Civil War is still important in 2016. The blog is curated by Producers from Old Glory Productions, which produced the blogs namesake film, When to Die. The film examines the legacy of the Civil War 150 years after the war ended.

The film focuses on four Civil War Reenactors on and off the battlefield. Filmed between 2013-2015, the story follows the trajectory of the commemoration events surrounding the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. This blog will be considered a supplement to the message of the film When to Die.
